JoshJoshua E. Dubs was born in Hope Valley, Rhode Island in 1982. He graduated cum laude from Rocky Hill School as a member of the Class of 2000. From there he attended Union College in Schenectady, New York. While at Union, he was a member of Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity, a member of the Student Judiciary Committee, and was active in Mountebanks, the student-run theatre group, and Concordiensis, the student newspaper. He graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor’s Degree in History and Performance Art.

After a brief stint as a reporter for the Berkshire Record in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, Josh returned to Rhode Island where he worked as an IT technician for Ocean State Job Lot until being accepted into SUNY Buffalo Law School.

While at SUNY Buffalo Law School, Josh served as Executive Editor of the Buffalo Public Interest Law Journal, President of the Carlos C. Alden Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta Fraternity, International, and was a graduate assistant with the Office of Development.

Josh earned his Juris Doctorate in 2008. After being admitted to practice law in the State of New York in 2009, Josh opened up his solo practice on March 6, 2009.

Josh lives in North Tonawanda with his wife, Lauren, a pharmacist, and their cat, Sunny. In his spare time, Josh enjoys writing, reading, playing guitar, golfing and traveling. Josh is also a certified football official with the Western New York Certified Football Officials Association.

Josh is proud to be a member of the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, where he serves on the Law Practice Management Committee and as the representative of the 8th Judicial District for the Young Lawyer’s Section, the Bar Association of Erie County, the Bar Association of Niagara County, the Bar Association of the Tonawandas, the New York State Defenders Association, the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York – Western New York Chapter, and the Niagara USA Chamber of Commerce. Josh also serves on the Executive Board of the SUNY Buffalo Law Alumni Association’s GOLD Group, and on the planning board of Project Homeless Connect Buffalo.
